    I think this article is great by the way. I think it's likely that the reason cannabis seems to cause an increase in infections is the presence of mould. In countries that cannabis is illegal, it can be very dangerous for immunocompromised people to use it without running the risk of an inexperienced grower selling them cannabis that contains mould. The black market lacks the capability to properly test for mould and there are no regulations making them do so.
