Overview
Nanofibrillated cellulose and GelMA are combined to create GelMA C. This distinctive mixture maintains the universal cell attachment motifs from GelMA while providing smooth printability at ambient conditions and low extrusion pressures using a wide range of nozzle diameters. After printing, GelMA C quickly crosslinks via photocuring.
GelMA C, which is patented jointly by UPM-Kymmene Corporation and CELLINK AB, combines GelMA with nanofibrillated cellulose. The bioink’s translucency is maintained by the nanoscale fibrils, allowing for cell imaging and analysis.
This distinctive mixture maintains the universal cell attachment motifs from GelMA while providing smooth printability at ambient conditions and low extrusion pressures using a wide range of nozzle diameters. After printing, GelMA C quickly crosslinks via photocuring. It is offered at 0.25% with a LAP photoinitiator.
