Overview
Lifeink® 220 is a 70 mg/ml type I collagen bioink for extrusion based FRESH 3D bioprinting.
Lifeink® 220 comes as a pH-neutral, isotonic bioink and is ready for cell addition and bioprinting.
For printing with Lifeink® 220, Advanced BioMatrix recommends the FRESH printing method and printing at 2 to 8 °C. Three-dimensional (3D) gels enable the investigation of the impacts of the mechanical properties of the extracellular matrix (ECM), like rigidity and density, on migration, morphology, and cell development.
Dissimilar to 2D systems, 3D environments enable cell extensions to concurrently interface with integrins on all cell surfaces. This leads to the activation of specific signaling pathways. Also, gel rigidity or stiffness impacts cell migration otherwise in 3D versus 2D surroundings.
A bioink that imitates life must include the following traits: High Print Resolution, strong mechanical strength, shear-thinning, superior cytocompatibility, enable cellular remodeling, and biomimetic. Lifeink® 220 satisfies those needs.
Advanced BioMatrix provides Lifeink® 220, a bioink that is a 70 mg/ml type I collagen. Lifeink® 220 is pH-neutral collagen along with physiological salt concentration. Using a controlled manufacturing process, the collagen starting material has been purified.
