Overview
By simply warming to 37 °C, PureCol® EZ Gel, a ready-to-use bovine atelocollagen solution with 5 mg/ml, transforms into a 3D hydrogel. With DMEM/F12 medium, this product is pH neutral, isotonic, and prepared for immediate cell addition and 3D hydrogels.
PureCol® EZ Gel is a collagen solution that is ready to use and can be transformed into a firm gel by simply warming it to 37 °C in an incubator.
To provide a long-lasting source of L-glutamine for cell culture, the product is made up of 0.5% (~5 mg/ml) of purified Type I collagen, DMEM/F-12 medium, and a combination of L-glutamine and dipeptide (L-alanine-L-glutamine).
PureCol® EZ Gel’s pre-formulation of the medium and pH balancing of the final product is intended to increase gel consistency. With the use of this product, inconsistent gel preparation that can result from reagent addition, pH adjustment, and handling conditions is avoided.
PureCol® EZ Gel is the best choice for creating a firm gel and can also be used to create a thin layer for cell culture. For use and storage, PureCol® EZ Gel collagen comes in convenient packaging. This item is provided as a ready-to-use solution and is sterile.
