Overview
Irgacure 2959 from Biomatrix is a highly effective non-yellowing radical photoinitiator available for the UV curing of systems, like bioinks and hydrogels. Irgacure is known to be the most effectively activated with the help of 365 nm wavelength UV light.
Irgacure should be solubilized in methanol, as it is not water-soluble (like Ruthenium and LAP).

This irgacure product is known to be non-sterile. The addition of antibiotics to users’ cell culture systems or sterile filtering is suggested. To sterile filter, resuspend the preferred quantity of irgacure and filter via small 0.2-micron button filters. Utilize the sterile photoinitiator for two weeks.
This product is available with 5 gm of dry powder.
