Overview
A special solution developed for 2D coatings or 3D hydrogels is TeloCol-6, which is 50 mL of 6 mg/ml, type I bovine telocollagen.
This kit is available with a neutralization solution for simple handling and preparation. Being a higher concentration telocollagen, TeloCol-6 will polymerize rapidly and develop powerful hydrogels compared to atelocollagen.
TeloCol®-6 bovine collagen solution has been acquired from an acid extraction process providing telopeptide-intact collagen. TeloCol® seems to be soluble telocollagen in 0.01 N HCL. The telopeptide regions present at both ends of the collagen chain, N- and C-telopeptide regions, are retained.
Approximately, TeloCol®-6 collagen is 95% Type I collagen with the leftover consisting of Type III collagen. Every product contains a bottle comprising 50 ml of collagen solution joined with a bottle of pre-formulated neutralizing solution for the development of a collagen gel.
This product has been delivered at a concentration of nearly 6 mg/ml. TeloCol®-6 is sterile filtered and offered in easy-to-use packaging for use and storage.
TeloCol®-6 is perfect for coating surfaces, offering preparation of thin layers for culturing cells, or using as a solid gel.
